I stuck the kindle on ‘text-to-speech’ and listened to it for a couple of hours whilst doing other stuff, which did seem to help a bit, but when I went back to reading it myself I again just wanted it to end already. The story dragged, there was a lack of answers, there was a lot of inconsequential stuff in there that didn’t move the story along, and I just got bored. Unfortunately though I had begun to lose interest by the 20% mark. “My life began the second I pulled myself out of my grave and looked into his beautiful blue eyes.” I mean for an opening line, this is pretty good – The storyline in this started out okay, but I lost interest. Sam was an okay character, but she was such a liar! Almost every time she opened her mouth, lies spewed out like she couldn’t control them! How she kept up with all the lies she told I don’t know! That being said Sam also came across as a bit of a push-over, she didn’t really stand up for herself all that much, and instead had a pity-party all the time over how awful it was that she kept killing people! This book started out okay, but I lost interest.

How did Ethan bring her back? What is wrong with her? And will she ever be normal again? Thanks to Spencer Hill Press and NetGalley.)ġ7-year-old Sam died from cancer, but now she’s alive again, and it’s all thanks to her boyfriend Ethan, if only he would reveal to her how he brought her back.īut something isn’t quite right, and Sam suddenly finds herself draining the life from other people to remain alive herself.
